Yolanda and Ron’s wedding portraits brought together two beautiful sides of Cleveland: the ornate interiors of the Cleveland Public Library and the open space around a downtown fountain. Their photographs move from quiet portraits on the staircase to wedding-party group shots and a playful twirl outdoors, with the city as their backdrop.

Wedding portraits inside the Cleveland Public Library
The library gave this part of Yolanda and Ron’s wedding photographs a sense of scale. Arched doorways, carved stone railings, decorative ceilings, and warm wall lights framed the couple without taking attention away from them. Some portraits show the surrounding architecture; others move closer, letting a gesture or expression become the center of the photograph.
Yolanda’s off-the-shoulder white gown and veil stood out against the stone interiors. Ron’s burgundy jacket, black lapels, and bow tie added rich color, echoed by the flowers in Yolanda’s bouquet. Together, those details gave the portraits a coordinated look while keeping the couple at the heart of each image.

A wedding party in burgundy and mauve
The wedding-party photographs carried those colors through the collection. Burgundy and mauve bridesmaid dresses complemented Ron’s jacket, while the groomsmen’s dark suits gave the group portraits a classic finish. Inside the library, a mural and long stone seating area created a setting for everyone to gather in one frame.
I like including both the full wedding party and smaller groups in a wedding gallery. They give couples a record of the people who stood beside them, along with photographs that show the clothing, flowers, and colors they chose for the day.

Downtown Cleveland portraits by the fountain
Outside, the photographs take on a different rhythm. The library’s stone exterior provides a backdrop for a seated portrait, while the wider downtown views make room for the entire wedding party. Near the fountain, the water and surrounding buildings add texture to the scene.
One of my favorite images from this selection shows Ron twirling Yolanda beside the fountain. Her gown moves with the turn, giving the portrait a playful feeling. The outdoor photographs balance the more formal library portraits and bring movement into the collection.
